Gardening Workshops
Get an education in gardening in the North Okanagan.
Learning about gardening is an opportunity to engage with nature and discover new things about the intricate and vast processes that governs it. There are so many techniques and tips spanning the world of gardening that it is easy to make mistakes. But that’s alright! It’s all part of the adventure.
Whether you’re learning about greenhouse growing, propagation, pest management, growing vegetables or growing in containers, there is always something new to learn. That’s what Sonja found as she explored further and further into the vast ecosystems of growing.
About your gardening workshop host
Sonja grew up helping her Father and Opa seed, care for and transplant plants into their garden. After University and receiving her Professional Agrologist designation, she spent a few years working for a larger grower and oversaw their propagation department (one of her favourite areas of horticulture). With that experience, she continued her career working in consulting—helping clients manage pests and adopt best practices for growing. After meeting her partner, Dave, Greenbush Greenhouse and Farm was started.
Now, Sonja wants to pass on her years of knowledge with her fellow growing enthusiasts (you!).
Greenbush’s workshops take place in January, February and October.
